Brixton X25 [Computer Network Technology (CNT)]

Brixton X25 is a data communications software-based product that providesstandard async PAD support and an Applications Programmatic Interface(API) for custom applications. Brixton X25 also allows TCP/IPcommunications to be routed over public and private X25 packet-switchednetworks. Brixton X25 runs on a wide range of standard UNIX platforms, soit requires no new investment in routing hardware.This "routerless" software approach expands the bounds of TCP/IP wide-area connectivity without making a large investment in special-purposehardware. Brixton X25 is an economical solution for integrating remoteTCP/IP sites over wide-area/X25 networks. Since Brixton X25 does notrequire a dedicated computer, the platform may be used simultaneouislyfor other purposes, such as a file server or application hosl.
